Dan Mask is a ceremonial dance mask from the Ivory Coast, made by the Dan Tribe or their sub-tribes as the Guere People and Yacouba. Adorned with decorative cowrie shells. Even it is known as "The Female Mask" just men are allowed to use it during the five days of dancing and sacrifices to the ancestors for the sake of a good harvest. Vintage 40 to 60 years old.
