Weathervane, late 19th to early 20th century, gilt over zinc, three dimensional life sized pigeon on a ball and large arrow with wide fletchings mounted on a rod connected to a tapered roof mounting plate set on a wood base for display, with two additional zinc gilded balls and fillagreed black painted zinc arrows pointing to gilded directional lettering with the iron rod and mounting plate painted black, apparently unmarked.

There is a small split on both wings at the outer curve where the metal comes together, the bottom last feather on the arrow has a bend, the east pointer has a slightly bent shaft before the point of the arrow and the ball the bird is standing on has a 0.75" x 1.125" dent on the side below birds foot. Overall wear from age and use.
