They were looking for authentic watches that would represent the time period from 1915-1926. It is a true story of events that took place during the 1920?s.
This brand of watch needs no introduction. The style of watch may. Notice that this watch does not have a visible crown. The crown is hidden from view. This is called the classic ?Oyster Case? The design was ingenious at the time.
Think 1947 for this Rolex, Stainless steel with a Rose Gold Bezel, such an elegant look. The case measures approximately 31MM wide, watches had much smaller footprint in the 1930 and 1940?s,

If you are a serious buyer, then you will know that this will be a very hard watch to find. I searched on the web and could not 1947 that is as restored as this one.

I have carefully restored this watch as close to original as possible. The movement was sent to a watch make with 40 years experience with his specialty being Rolex, Panerai, Breitling, Patek and many more.
It had a complete tear down service.

New 16MM Band
New Gaskets
Dial and hands were refinished to their original status by a leading dial house. Salmon colored dial to match the beautiful rose gold bezel.
The hands by all accounts are original to the watch.
Use the pictures as part of the description. The watch is in incredible condition, it is not perfect, but if you were close to 100 years old, you would have some marks as well.
