Description

Rare find in this pair of Napoli Mt. Washington Glass Palmer Cox Brownie decorated salt and pepper shakers. These are exceedingly rare and seldom come to market. One features a policeman on one side with pig on reverse. The other example with a brownie one one side with a black cat on the reverse side. Each shaker measures 3" tall. each found with the original lid.

Provenance:

This item is from the private collection of Bill & Betty Stromberg. Bill and Betty were long-time collectors of wonderful antique glass. They were known for being very discriminative and obtaining only the best examples they could find for their collection. It was Bill and Betty's wish that we at Magnum Auctions bring their collection to auction and offer all of their wonderful items to collectors to discover anew and to continue to enjoy them just as they had for all the years they had them. We are humbled and proud to offer them in this and future auctions to come.
