Description
A beautiful cut-glass bottle from Sasanian Persia with carved circular decoration, a pearlescent finish, and a tapered hexagonal nozzle. Sasanian glassware was often carved from a block of glass rather than blown, or sometimes blown to a desired shape and then carved with detail, and often incorporated applied shapes around the outside, such as blobs, studs, or roundels.
