RIAA Gold Album award for Anthrax album Persistence Of Time. Released on Aug. 21, 1990 the album went Gold for 500,000 copies sold on Jan. 17, 1991. Anthrax awards are hard to find.

The group's fifth album and last to feature vocalist Joey Belladonna until he rejoined the group in 2011, it featured singles "Got the Time" (a Joe Jackson cover) and "In My World" (which was performed by the band on the Married... with Children episode, "My Dinner with Anthrax"). The album peaked at #24 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and #13 in the UK, and also charted in numerous other countries.

Detailed Item Description: This is an official RIAA Gold album award made in 1991 making it about 33 years old. It is presented to Rick Rogers, a record promotions executive.

The award is in VG condition with only very minor mars of the frame and plexiglass. It has its' original backing paper and while the manufacturer label is missing, it has adhesive residue in the size, shape and location consistent with a Creative Glassics sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
