the rectangular top enclosing a silk lined tray interior over one long drawer, the sides with substantial mask and scroll handles, raised on scroll-cast feet. 27cm high, 56.5cm wide, 27cm deep

Hinges work well and the box lid closes snugly. Splitting and several areas where veneer has come away. Areas where the brass trim is coming away from the wood. The paper lining has split and come away in areas; especially over the lock mechanism. Silk lining in the top tray has come away and torn around the handles, some discolouration and marks to the silk. Otherwise in good condition with wear commensurate with age and use.
