Description

1836 The British Army at Washington & New Orleans HC. "The Campaigns Of The British Army At Washington And New Orleans In The Years 1814-1815. The author is listed as "The Author Of The Subaltern". This is the fourth edition and was published by John Murray (London) in 1836. The hardcover is approx 5" x 1" x 7 3/4" and it weighs 0.75lb. The book's covers have shelf-wear, and there is also some handwriting on the first few pages, including the name of a previous owner. This is Jack Sweetman, who was the author, coauthor, translator, editor, or coeditor of ten books and many shorter pieces in the field of naval and military history. There is also some foxing on the pages, deckled and there is some inner spine damage, but the pages are attached.
