A founding member of the Book Club of California, Bender was instrumental in launching the career of Ansel Adams whose earliest works, Parmelian Prints of the High Sierras and Taos Pueblo, he financed. This extraordinary association copy is additionally inscribed by Albert M. Bender to former California Assemblyman and Director of the Standard Oil Corporation of California, Oscar Sutro.
