16th-17th century A.D. Firesteel with iron striking face, bronze handle formed as an annular wreath supported by putti seated on the backs of two addored dogs; the putti facing in opposite lateral directions, wreath with floral detailing and heart below. 48.6 grams, 63 mm (2 1/2 in.).
