This vintage style Chinese figurine is in the shape of a double octagon star. Handmade of meteorite iron and stone, decorated with traditional Hongshan style. The eight-pointed star, known as the bagua, is one of the most important symbols in Chinese culture. Bagua consists of eight trigrams, each of which is a combination of three lines, yin and yang. Trigrams are also associated with the five elements: fire, earth, water, metal and wood. The bagua symbol represents balance and harmony between the opposing forces of yin and yang, the five elements, and the eight aspects of life.
