Description
Thangka of Sakyamuni and Four Heavenly Kings in Qing Dynasty Palace Brocade. Size: 258cmx107cm, 155cmx94cm. Holy and solemn. First, the main central image is Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, usually depicted as a dignified Buddha. His face is calm and kind, and his eyes are half-opened and half-closed, revealing profound wisdom and a peaceful heart. Around Sakyamuni, the four heavenly kings guarded him. These four heavenly kings represent the patron saints of the four directions of east, west, south and north respectively. Each heavenly king wears gorgeous armor and holds their own magical weapons and symbolic objects, symbolizing their power and guardianship. The background of the entire thangka is dark blue, red and golden to highlight the sanctity of the main image. The edges of the thangka are also decorated with magnificent patterns, which enhance the palace and solemnity of the entire work. 清代 宫廷织锦释迦牟尼与四大天王像唐卡
