Description
Canadian. C. 1942. Wood, brass. An original wooden propeller was used on the Cheetah MKX engine, which was in use on the twin-engine "Airspeed Oxford" training aircraft. Includes a mounting bracket off of the Oxford trainer. Markings on the piece show a diameter of 88" with a pitch (angle of attack) of 75 degrees. Stamped, "SER.R.2204", plus 3 round stamps. Stamped, "D88 P75 Cheetah MKX Oxford Nov 1942", on top of hub. Stamped, "SS_SS.200.F", beside hub. Marked, "S & S Aircraft Limited Winnipeg", at center of each wood blade on decal. Span: 88". Bore: 3.25". From the Late Robert Spittel Collection.

Excellent original condition. Includes original decals, brass, and paint to wing tips.
