Europe, England, 20th c. A beautiful ensemble of hand-blown art glass marbles and paperweight by Teign Valley Glass Studio. The group includes: (1) a Cyclops Spiral paperweight featuring twin spiral motifs within the transparent orb that is inscribed "TVG" near the pontil mark; (2) a large glass marble adorned with a teal, black, and white spiral motif, inscribed "TVG" at one end; (4) a large glass marble with a lime green and black spiral motif at the center surrounded by a crimson and white spiral motif, inscribed "TVG" at one end; (5) a large glass "Airtwist" marble adorned with a colorless spiral motif, inscribed "TVG" and edition "199/1000" at one end; (6) a large glass marble featuring swirls of royal blue, white, and champagne gold within inscribed "TVG" and edition "48/1000" and (7) a smaller marble featuring swirls of mauve and white hues at the center and black linear motifs around the peripheries, inscribed "TVG" at one end. About Teign Valley Glass: "The glassworks was set up in Teignmouth, Devon, England in 1981 to make specialist handmade marbles for House of Marbles. The aim was to reproduce the specialist techniques of Victorian glass makers. All are inscribed "TVG" for Teign Valley Glass. Two of the marbles are also inscribed with edition numbers as noted in description. Paperweight also has TVG label on surface. Overall very good condition, housed in 3 Teign Valley Glass boxes (showing age wear) and accompanied by 2 Teign Vally Glass brochures (one specifically for Airtwist Marble with edition number), and 4 marble stands.
