(1) Martha Martinez de Dominguez (Mexican, 20th-21st century). Mata Ortiz pottery seed jar. Signed "Martha Martinez Dguez" on underside of base; (2) Adolfo Fito Tena (Mexican, 20th-21st century). Mata Ortiz pottery jar. Signed "Fito Ten" on underside of base. A delightful pair of petite pottery seed jars decorated in the Mata Ortiz tradition. First, the larger was made by Martha Martinez Dominguez and is adorned with white-on-red abstract designs. Alternatively, the more petite vessel was created by Adolfo Fito Tena and features a corrugated exterior, though exhibits a similar shape as the first with a broad hip and narrow spout. Size of larger (Martha Martinez white-on-red): 3.7" Diameter x 1.6" H (9.4 cm x 4.1 cm)
