Description
Two antique MOP inlay lap desk boxes, one in burl. Burl box exterior in good overall age-appropriate condition, interior damage to lap desk surface, see photos. Exterior of MOP basket inlay box in fair to good overall condition, with surface scratching, missing brass panel, damage/missing pieces to brass inlay, front right brass panel needs glue (taped for photos). Interior of this box in good to very good condition for age, with split center leather surface. Remnants of an old sticker remain with mostly illegible text though "Jan 1869" remains. Two inkwells in MOP basket inlaid box, no keys for either. Slightly larger MOP basket inlaid box measurements included in listing.
