Carl Kauba (Austrian, 1865-1922) Bronze Sculpture, Early 20th C., "Smoking Elk", H 3.12" L 8.5" Depth 4.5" | Signed C Kauba at the back of the blanket. Stamped Geschützt 5305 on the back. Depicting a reclining Native American gentleman smoking a pipe with a rifle in his arms. Mounted to an onyx base, H 1 7/8". Overall height of 5". Provenance: Collection of a prominent, Grosse Pointe Park, MI collector of American art.
Condition
Missing the end of the rifle barrel.
