Two Chinese lady's robes

late 19th century

One blue-ground and the other purple-ground. (2).

H: 37 1/8, W: 50 in. (H: 94.30, W: 127 cm. (largest))

Provenance: From Mr. Lo, Honolulu, Hawai'i. A family inheritance. His grandfather, Chang Lo (1884-1995), was born in Honolulu and was a scholar, diplomat, and legal expert. Lot 839 to 843 are from the same collector.
