A Chinese jun red-glazed hulu-form vase
early 19th century
With exaggerated hulu form, splaying widely in the center, and flattened rim with bright purple accents. This is a smoke-emitting censer cover originally used atop a temple censer, hence the absence of a underside.
H: 10 1/2, Dia: 7 1/8 in. (H: 26.67, Dia: 18.10 cm.)

With two cracks and glaze cracks to rim, glaze wear, crazing throughout, and chipping to foot.
