A Chinese carved white and russet jade 'Three Rams' figure

18th century

Featuring three recumbent rams, one adult and two kids, lying together in a tightly curved formation. The delicate russet tones of the jade were utilized to emphasize the heads and horns of each animal.

H: 1 7/8, W: 3 1/4, D: 2 in. (H: 4.78, W: 8.26, D: 5.08 cm.)

Provenance: From Mr. Chang, a Chinese-American antiques dealer with 60 years of experience in the field. Mr. Chang began his journey into the world of antiques under the guidance of his mentors in the early 1960s.
