About: This extraordinary Mid-Century Modern mosaic coffee table was designed by the renowned Brazilian designer Percival Lafer circa 1970. This table is constructed of an exotic mixture of hardwoods such as Brazilian Rosewood Mahogany and Brazilian Jacaranda. Featuring austere waterfall-like legs holding up a volumetric rectangular top and open on two sides with all exterior surfaces covered in a rich mosaic patchwork of multihued mahogany strips creating a stunning and dynamic visual pattern this table is literally unlike any other. The top is fitted with a transparent glass panel protecting the wood top beneath while ensuring that it remains visible. With it's clean lines austere form and refined palate this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary to brutalism/minimalism. Condition Details: This iconic coffee table is in 100% original vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The myriad of solid Mahogany Rosewood and Jacaranda hardwoods is in remarkably excellent shape showing no stains deep scratches or gouges whatsoever and the tropical wood grains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. The glass top shows only minor surface scratches but shows no cracks chips or deep scratches whatsoever. The folding mechanisms under the table both function exactly as they should making the table easy to fold and store or ship. This exquisite coffee table is highly functional structurally sound and ready for decades more of use.
