American. 1930s. Made by Girard Model Works. Louis Marx worked for Girard and marketed toys for them. In 1934 they declared bankruptcy and Louis Marx bought the company. Marked, on side door.

Condition
The clockwork motor not working (sprung spring). Minor oxidation throughout. Original windup key.
