This vintage late 19th century ladies handbag is designed with an elaborate heavy & wide hallmarked sterling silver frame. This British frame is beautifully decorated with an intricate multi character scene of figures in an outdoor setting. The scenic center panel is flanked by scrolling plumes & decorations that compliment the overall appearance. Attached to this heavy frame is a sturdy 16" long floral chain. The exterior of the black silk bag has a textured pleated appearance with noticeable wear. The interior of the bag is lined with olive green moire accented with floral trim.
