BOXED MARKLIN BATTLESHIP FRANCE | Germany, circa 1902-1907, clockwork driven ship has wonderful proportions with exaggerated superstructure and numerous cannons, this boat has a whimsical toy-like quality different from the intimating real warships it was based on, the level of hand painted detailing throughout the ship is outstanding, includes seldom found original wooden box/crate and lead sailor figures, as found and in like new museum quality.
