Unusual 18th c Chest form desk with Ogee foot, grain painted finish, original hardware. Is Plate 120 in "Pine Furniture of New England" By Russell Hawes Kettell 1929 Pub. Doubleday ( lot includes a copy of this text) . Contains previous owner's note in drawer that it was purchased in an "Auction at Templeton" in 1911- some blush to finish, other wear commensurate with age. 42 x 40 x 17"
