Description

WWII USAAF type C-2 life raft mast and sail assembly, includes the telescope-like mast assembly and red sail. On the mast is a label that reads 'A.A.F.-FC-A-685 MAST FOR TYPE C-2 LIFE RAFT,' 66 inches unfolded. On the sail are instructions on how to use the sail along with general instruction notes, at the bottom is printed '44618540,' 57 x 43 inches long sail. Some staining and wrinkling on the sail. Also includes a WWII-era Remove Before Flight tag which would be used to indicate equipment that needed to be checked on the plane before take off.
