Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The center stone and set shoulders are decorated with a total of 146 round brilliant cut diamonds with measurements of 1 - 2.2mm and shows a clarity of VS2 - SI1 and a coloration of F - G with a total diamond weight of 2.05 carats.
