建盞盞口外侈，腹部斜收，小圈足呈玉環狀，留有旋坯紋，修美流暢。胎體厚重堅致，內外壁施釉，碗口釉呈土黃色，口下漸爲黑、黃相間，底部淌釉有垂釉痕，內外黑釉面上帶黃色條縷絲紋，類似野兔毛毫，圈足露胎，質地堅實，削足平整，藏界稱之爲“兔毫盞”。《茶錄》中提到：“茶色白，宜黑盞，建安所造者紺黑紋如兔毫，其坯微厚，繼之久，熱難冷，最爲妥用，出他處者皆不及也。”
