Description

Antique Art Deco Nichols rug was hand knotted in China of 100% natural wool on a cotton foundation. The rug is 90+ years old, has medium to low wool piles and is in excellent condition for its age. Beautiful colors and made with excellent quality. No holes or repairs, nice and soft. There 2 birds and butterfly that are woven into the rug. This rug was acquired from a Metro Washington DC estate. There are indentations from furniture that can be seen in the pictures. These will go away once we wash the rug. There is a bit of pile loss around the edges, in 2 areas. Clean and ready to be enjoyed. , 8ft 10in x 11ft 4in, 68.6lbs (269cm x 345cm, 31.1kg), LOT REF #24-343
