2 Japanese Stationery Boxes; a Lacquer Suzuribako inscribed inside in gold lacquer to Mr. Ernest Henderson From Kazuyuki Suzuki, with the mark of the Kyoto Lacquer Shop, Zohiko; together with a Parquetry Patterned box of colored woods pieced together. Height of lacquer Box 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm.) X width 11 1/2 inches (29 cm.). NOTE: Believed to be a gift before WW2 from the Japanese to Ernest Henderson the founder of the Sheraton Hotels Group.
Condition
Age related wear, the lacquer with minor tiny flakes to lacquer with 1 short shrinkage crack to 2 edges of cover.
