This oversized watch originally started life as a pocket watch and has been expertly converted to a wrist watch. The watch has just been given a factory quality service by our finest watchmaker and keeps dependable time. It is large and distinctive and in excellent condition as well. Agassiz was a renowned Swiss House producing watches on a par with Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin. The dial on this watch was produced for them, and Tiffany by the finest Swiss Dial House known as Stern Freres. In the early 1930s due to the Great Depression Patek Philippe, the worlds most famous watch company filed for bankruptcy. Stern purchased Patek Philippe from the bankruptcy court and still owns the marque today.
