18K Rose Gold Hunter-case Swiss Pocket Watch ANGELUS #40283.
Cronograph with o'clock and quarter chimes on demand.
58mm/2.28in three-lid case in rose gold.
External lids in guilloche, main lid with central badge and corporate dustcover with Firms medallions.
Excellent mechanism, anchor escape, rubys and remontoir.
Porcelain sphere, seconds hand at 6, Roman numerals. Circa 1911.
Mint condition, working condition revised in June 2021 by watchmaker.
ANGELUS was founded in 1891 by Albert & Gustav Stolz, pupils of Henry Sandoz, and they established their small firm in Le Locle. Despite their humble begginings, they achieved the gold medal at World Expos in Paris and Lille. They begun making thir own watches, chimes and cronographs, what granted them another gold medal at the World Expo in Liege (Belgium).
