The owl manages to be one of the most beautiful, stoic, captivating but mysterious birds. With one glance back this owl will capture your attention. Large forward-facing eyes and ear holes, a hawk-like beak, a flat face, and a conspicuous circle of feathers make the owl one of the most unique looking birds to fake flight. The carefully detailed feathers overlap one another. It digs it is talons into the tree branch it perches on, high above all other life. In the veil of the night, the owl looks on, ready to take to the moonlit sky. This sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method in a brown patina and it is mounted on a marble base.
