*There are some age-appropriate changes and scratches but as an antique it is in very good condition.
Considering its age it is in a relatively unused condition and I think it has aged well.
For some reason many chronographs equipped with CAL.11 or CAL.12 are in good condition.
I guess many of them didn't sell well at the time and were released later.
It is difficult to judge whether or not it has been re-polished but when I looked at it with a magnifying glass I did not see any slimy scratch marks so I think there is a high possibility that it was not re-polished.
The edges are sharp and solid and the hairline finish is in beautiful condition.
There are no particular scratches on the glass windshield so it may have been replaced during the manufacturer's overhaul.
The dial has small speckled stains throughout but they are spread evenly and give the appearance of a dial that was originally finished like this.
I don't think it looks unsightly. This stain doesn't seem to stand out and I think it's unlikely that it will become unsightly and deteriorate over time.
The luminescence of the dial and hands has faded to some extent and in dark places the dial will not glow and the hands will glow to some extent. There is a slight difference in color between the luminescence of the hands and the luminescence of the dial.
The hands may have been replaced in an older model but I don't think there is much difference in appearance.
The leather belt does not have any logo marks so it may be a third-party product but it feels old. I think the SS buckle is genuine and probably from that time.

*Glass windshield screw back
*The notation "HEUER-LEONIDAS" can be seen on the inside of the camera back.
"LEONIDAS" is a watch manufacturer founded in 1841.
Even now I occasionally see antique watches from LEONIDAS.
Heuer and Leonidas merged in 1964.
I'm not sure about the power relationship between the two brands after the merger but since the word "LEONIDAS" can be seen on the inside of the camera back I think Leonidas also had a certain amount of influence although it was led by Heuer. .

*This movement looks like a hand-wound movement because the rotor is not visible but there is a micro rotor at the back.
Because the movement has a two-story structure the rotor is no longer visible.
*It does not have a permanent second hand so it is a three-counter chronograph that can measure up to 12 hours.
*Although it does not have a fast-advance mechanism the date can be advanced by repeatedly moving the hand forward and backward from around 21:00 to after midnight.
*Equipped with CAL.12 (21 600 vibrations) a minor change version of the world's first self-winding chronograph movement CAL.11 (19 800 vibrations). In addition CAL.12 seems to have been manufactured since around 1972.
*A quick look into the world's earliest self-winding chronograph movements reveals the following.
The world's first self-winding chronograph movement was announced in March 1969 the two-story CAL.11 jointly developed by Heuer Breitling and several other companies.
The world's first self-winding chronograph was released in May 1969 and was equipped with Seiko's CAL.6139. Zenith's 3019PHC (El Primero) seems to have been announced in September 1969 so it may not be the world's first but it is probably the most impactful movement.
I think it can be said to be the world's first integrated exclusive designed self-winding luxury chronograph movement.
