**FN Hi-Power Waffenampt Marked Type III Fixed Sights

9mm Para. 4.7" barrel length. SN: 178964. Blued metal finish overall with rough wartime finish and mounting checkered walnut grip panels. Short recoil operated single-action autoloading pistol fed by detachable double-stack magazines. Item mounts fixed iron sights and lacks the stock cut found on early Hi-Power pattern pistols. Left slide is struck FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/HERSTAL BELGIQUE/BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE, with further markings including the {Eagle/WaA140} Waffenampt marking on the slide, in two places on the left barrel, and to the left frame. Item additionally displays the {WWII German Eagle} final proof struck into the left slide, right barrel, and left frame. Serial number markings match on the barrel, frame, and slide. Further initial stamps seen on the butt and left triggerguard. Comes with one magazine showing a partial Waffenampt marking. Additionally comes with a black leather holster that has been stamped MADE IN BELGIUM to the interior flap with two names written in pen reading Heimig and PHW Gieshold.

Condition
Good. Bore is Bright with some residues that should clean to Very Bright with sharp rifling. Metal finish shows some edgewear overall with a thinning blue transitioned to brown patina over the gripstraps and slide with some further scuffs and patinated spots along the triggerguard and forward frame. Grips show some rounding at the edges and weakening to the checkering. Magazine shows insertion wear with some rough factory finish. Holster shows some scuffs along the edges, cracking and flaking to the tie down strap, and some further scattered abrasions and stains overall.
