** Rare Romanian M44 Mosin-Nagant Carbine

Cold War

7.62x54mmR. 20.2" barrel length. SN: ET229. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in a straight wrist Birchwood stock with full length upper handguard and side-folding cruciform spike bayonet. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine mounting standard adjustable rear notch and fully hooded front post sights. Barrel shank displays the [RPR} emblem of the "Romanian People's Republic" followed by a date of 1954. Serial number marks match where observed, and the rifle features scattered Romanian inspection marks.

This lot is located in Cincinnati.

Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with some oxidation towards forward barrel and muzzle and strong rifling. Blued finish exhibits some light edgewear overall, thinning on the muzzle and operating wear to the bayonet, and some scuffs and scratches on the magazine floorplate. Stock exhibits scattered dents and mars overall, along with some stains.
