Description
A COLLECTION OF CHINESE AND VIETNAMESE CERAMICS
13th/14th to 17th century
Comprising: a moulded celadon glazed 'boys' bowl in the Song style; a moulded pale celadon glazed bowl decorated to the interior with a frieze of scrolling lotus; a blue and white dish decorated with a parrot amongst bamboo; a blue and white Swatow dish with a lady amongst plantain; and a small turquoise moulded jar.
The largest 32cm (12 1/2in) diam. (5).

General old wear and firing imperfections.
The Swatow dish - glaze degradation. A small area of retouching at the rim.
The parrot dish - area of discoloured glaze crazing to the exterior.
The pale celadon bowl - 2.5cm firing rim crack. Glaze degradation.
The boys bowl - areas of retouching around the rim. Minor shallow chip to the rim exterior.
The jar - firing crack running down the body - partly a hairline at the shoulder.
The Swatow dish - glaze degradation. A small area of retouching at the rim.
The parrot dish - area of discoloured glaze crazing to the exterior.
