A BRONZE 'ELEPHANT' INCENSE BURNER
Xuande six-character mark, Ming Dynasty
The cylindrical body decorated with a single raised band, set on three elephant-head feet, the base cast with an apocryphal reign mark encircled by a pair of dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl.
18cm (7 1/8in) diam.

Condition
Some expected pitting and a few dents around the extremities, the most notable one to the mouth rim approx. 0.5cm long; some minor scratches to the exterior, all consistent with age and use.
