To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong commissioned this image to be executed by an AI-controlled robotic arm holding a large brush. The machine was trained to instantly convert pictures of the hotel's 200 fans and guests into vibrant and expressive portraits in a style that evokes classical Chinese calligraphy. With the technical support of the printer and publisher, Sir Peter Blake devised the composition of the final work after his iconic cover of the 1967 album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.' At the end of the celebration, London Advertising released this 300 limited-edition, which was originally available for purchase for the attendees.
