(Disneyland, 1960s) An original sign from the Fred Gurley locomotive at Disneyland. The 113-year-old locomotive was named after the former Chairman of the Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe Railroad. The metallic sign was created by the Disneyland Staff Shop, features hand-painted elements, and was likely removed during a complete restoration of the attraction vehicle beginning in 2006. Measuring 35.75” x 6.5”, the sign is in very good condition with chips to paint along edges and corners, slight oxidation, and minor wear from Park use.
