(Disney, 1982) A set of three matching Ektachrome continuous-tone transparencies of Tron holding up his identity disc from Disney’s “Tron.” The transparencies were created at the Studio and used during the production of the special effects sequences in the film. The ground-breaking film predated modern-day computer animation and effects, requiring the unique lighting effects to be hand-created using multiple transparencies for each frame of film. This painstaking process was only used for "Tron," making the film's effects artwork a special piece of Disney and cinema history. Measuring 12.5” x 20”, each piece is in very good condition with light wear from handling.
