Original sketch for a dress worn by Kim Novak in Vertigo. Design for Paramount Pictures, circa 1958. Gouache and watercolor on paper. Unsigned, inscribed "Vertigo" at top left in pencil, with pencil notations "Madeleine ext? #9a sc. 32" to the top right and "corrected" to the bottom right. The sheet measures 16 7/8 x 14 inches (42.75 x 35.5 cm). Framed. Wear to lower right corner, very faint soiling to edges, light rippling.
