Description
Slightly curved, iron head, with convex edge, a hump at the back, a rear cusp with lily-shaped base, two more cusps with lily-shaped base, socket of octagonal section with two rests in the shape of truncated cone buttoned at the edge. The surface of the head with remains of gilding, partly decorated with engravings depicting spirals framing floral pattern, two coat of arms on each side; a crown with feathers and the arms of Cardinal Camillo Borghese. Modern, wooden haft with red fabric covering fixed with small studs. Camillo Borghese (Pope Paul V) was born in 1552, in 1596 he was made Cardinal by Pope Clement VIII for whom he worked as a diplomat in Spain. In 1605, became Pope and in 1620 died. Overall length - 253 cm. Blade length - 48,5 cm.
