Foundry Signature: Cladenber - Shipping in USA $ 70. Kaesbach was one of four sons of Carl Josef Kaesbach (1839-1928) and Anna Petronella Foundry Signature Kaesbach, Hulsmann (1844-1892). His younger brother Walter Kaesbach was an art historian.Rudolf Kaesbach studied at the academies in Hanau (drawing), Paris (casting) and Brussels. In Dusseldorf he ran a workshop in which he cast his own models.From 1904 he worked as a sculptor in Berlin and presented a number of life-size marble figures to the public at exhibitions in Berlin, sseldorf and Malmo. Later he devoted himself increasingly to depicting female nudes. Many of his works led to Art Nouveauout to Art Deco.In 1939, 1940, 1941 and 1943 Kaesbach showed his sculptures at the Great German Art Exhibitions in the House of German Art in Munich.
