Description
Tiffany & Co 8-day Minute Repeater desk clock. Acid tests for 14kt gold, but is not marked. Weighs 350 grams. Monogrammed with CCJ initials and features a dedication on interior of case. Measures 4 X 3 1/2 inches (closed position). Clock chimes, but does not work. Minor chipping on the rim of the face near the 9 and 3. Owned by US Brigadier General Charles C. Jamieson. Born November 3rd, 1866 in Glover Vermont, Jamieson served with the 15th Infantry and was stationed at Fort Sheridan. He was then assigned to Sandy Hook Proving Ground. He received a promotion to major with the Ordnance Department. He incurred a disability in the line of duty and subsequently retired in 1910. However, in 1917, he was recalled to active duty with the Ordnance Department on 1917 and retired as a Brigadier General in 1919. THIS LOT HAS A RESERVE.
