Large pale blue "Phoenix Tail" vase with an opaque, dark green overlay has been spectacularly carved into a masterpiece.; The neck and base are covered in extremely fine Banana leaves. The body is broken by 4 connected cartouche featuring cranes, small birds, lotus flowers, chrysanthemums, bamboo, cattails, acanthus, and lilies. The detailed carvings are amazing and the artist created shading with the depth of the overlaid green. The entire background is covered with very fine waves and diamond shaped patterns. Qianlong seal has been carved on the base and there are three additional seals carved within the cartouche. 10.75 inches x 5 inches at widest point. Lip is 3.5 inches across. No noticeable flaws of any kind. Weight 50.3 ounces.
