Description
In 1988 Chopard supported the revised Mile Miglia race for the first time and issued the Chopard Mille Miglia Tachometer Chronograph for race competitors as souvenirs. This stop watch was presented to the driver of car 134 (Henry Grady) and has remained in the family since it was issued. Henry's wife Rocky was the passenger in the car and said the car was a 1948 Siata 750 Sport, Serial Number SC001. Their car, # 134, was from the USA and was in the event held May 17-20, 1990. The race started in Brescia going down the East cost to Rome and back up the West coast to Brescia in Northern Italy. The stopwatch includes the original exterior box and presentation box. Mechanical movement, white dial with sweep second hand and split time hand, bezel 2.5" / 6.5 CM with a tan leather lanyard strap. Back of case reads 1000 Miglia 1990 and the number 134.
