Made in the 1930's this was originally designed in Germany as an workshop task lamp. Christian Dell was a designer for Rondella and Blunt in the 1920's and went in the 1930's to work with Kaiser and Idell , this piece is one of early production , he created over 500 design during his life , some of his creation remained in production until the 1980. The base is cast iron metal with some oxidation which bring a nice patina .I purchase it in France and it is guaranty an original studio lamp from the 1930's.
