Louis Dupre (1789-1837), Original lithograph hand coloured with watercolour, Titled Bilesikdji Armenien / Armenian Goldsmith, the sitter is believed to be the renown jeweller Pascal Artine Chelebi, depicted sitting on a sofa smoking a chibouque. From his travel book Voyage a Athenes et a Constantinople, published in Paris 1825. Facsimile signature, titled under with embossed blind stamp with Dupre's monogram. Lithographer: Lemercier. Unframed. Plate approx. 14 1/4" x 10 1/4"
