Includes pages on navigation, heights and distances, geometry, and on mensuration. This section is comprised of approximately 33 leaves. Beginning at the other end, the journal has been used separately by his brother H. (Henry) Thacher, with an attractive manuscript frontis. Many illustrations/diagrams to both works.
